X-ray vision
One of the blessings of our approach to a food plan is that we are given x-ray vision! We can look straight through packaging and see the ingredients and know without reading the advertising whether or not the product will be good for us. Well, of course we have to read the list of ingredients. But, we don’t have to be side tracked into evaluating the claims on the box.
What a blessing, Joan
Granola bars on a ‘health’ website
The inbox today contained a question about the granola bars on a ‘healthy’ website. This is a website that encourages the use of unrefined foods. Yes, there’s a bit of irony there. I’m sure that granola bar is stuck together with a highly refined carbohydrate such as rice syrup or concentrated fruit. Not for us.

Optimism
My favorite food plan benefit from all times is the ability to perceive the good in any situation rather than the bad. Today, I am over a two-day cold. All during the cold, I kept thinking about what was good about the experience rather then plunging into the despair I used to experience when I got the old really bad colds. I thought about how easy it was to diminish the symptoms. I got much needed rest. My nose stayed clear. I never got the sore throat and cough. What a blessing it was to be noticing the good part. Joan
