Coaches

Support is an essential element of the carbohydrate recovery process. Many issues arise which only someone who has 'been there' can address:

Coaching the Mechanics
Sugars and flours are everywhere!

The Coach develops menus with the client as often as needed, even daily. This creates a surprisingly strong commitment to the program, one day at a time.

A third of all food dollars are spent in restaurants. Mechanics Coaches lend expertise to restaurant menus. Clients learn questions to ask waiters and chefs.

Mechanics Coaches work with clients to develop shopping lists. This helps the client see the tremendous variety in the food plan.

When the client reaches home with lovely food purchases, the Mechanics Coach helps them prepare and store food to minimize effort during the week.

Creating a safe home environment has kept many carbohydrate-sensitive individuals from relapse into old habits.

Recovery Coaching
For clients who feel a real addiction to carbohydrates

Coaches help reveal the ways in which carbohydrate-overuse steals well-being, confidence, and enjoyment of life. Clients rediscover talents, gifts, and joi de vivre.

Benefits are frequently compared to the problems of life experienced prior to replacing carbohydrates. Touching on benefits reminds clients why they are on the food plan.

Recovery Coaching helps clients through the process of establishing new boundaries with friends and family who may inadvertently undermine the client's recovery.

Patterns of old behavior, including 'diet failures' are developed. The client learns the freedom in a lifetime recovery food plan as opposed to a short-term diet.

Long-term recovery is often dependent on development of a spiritual connection. Clients who so desire regain spiritual comfort and security to reinforce recovery.
